At Darwin Languages Centre, we have over 300 students enrolled in our After-hours programs, learning 11 different languages, and we teach over 6000 students weekly in our In-schools programs.

Nestled amongst tropical gardens, DLC has fully equipped classrooms, modern play facilities, a recently renovated Asian Garden with water feature and fishpond and a swimming pool for external use swimming lessons. With easy access to public transport links, and plenty of on-site parking, Darwin Languages Centre is accessible for all.

We employ over 70 staff across our In-schools, After-hours and Adult Short Courses programs, and our mission is to 'Empower our community to be life-long learners'. At DLC we are often on the look out for new tutors to teach our after-hours language classes.

Candidates should:

enjoy working with young people;
be fluent in the target language;
have some experience of teaching young children;
be enthusiastic about teaching and learning;
have the ability to plan and create engaging activities to help students learn the language;
have a valid OCHRE card;
be able to commit to a full term to ensure our students have continuity.
